Our R&D business is conducted for constantly innovating technologies for complementing SI solution services. We currently focus on the fields of manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, nursing care, etc. We will keep increasing options for solving problems based on our development capacity.

INVESTIGATION_01Element technologies for image analysis combining advanced sensing technologies, AI, and IoT

By developing a platform of technologies for incorporating IoT into sensors, collecting image data, and analyzing them, it is possible to apply it to design diverse solutions in a broad range of fields. This platform is based on our image analysis technologies for counting people and objects, monitoring the flow of people, and inspecting products. Regarding our technology for discerning the position of a person on a bed by using a depth sensor, we obtained a patent for “a system for discerning a position with a contact-less sensor and notifying staff” (Patent Application No. 2016-225872).

We developed a real-time video transmission platform, which integrates and manages image data collected from cameras and has the functions of monitoring, referring to records, etc. This enables you to visually check the situation and appropriately respond, immediately after any abnormality occurs at a site where monitoring is conducted.

Terminals equipped with sensors, which are the outcomes of R&D for sensing, are scheduled to be mass-produced after trial production and improvements. We have in-house facilities, including a shielded room and an anechoic chamber in addition to CAD and CAE, for planning, designing, and manufacturing products.

System for looking after elderly people with AI and IoT

In an aged society with a low birthrate, it is important to detect abnormal behavior of elderly people who live alone promptly. K’s developed “a system for looking after elderly people” by utilizing AI, IoT, and cloud computing, with the aim of contributing to solving regional issues. This solution also leads to the reform of workstyles of professionals in healthcare and nursing care fields.

“Hata Log,” a system for “visualizing” agricultural farms

This is a system adopted for the purpose of improving the productivity of tomato fields. It is composed of sensors, network cameras, a board for remote control of a greenhouse environment, K’s OSC (a data center), etc. This system collects data on not only the growth status of fruit and vegetables, but also weather, greenhouse temperature, and ambient temperature, and enables you to take appropriate measures swiftly. By visualizing the conditions of your farms and showing them to your buyers, you can foster a brand image as “a high-quality agricultural producer under rigorous management.”
